Bird is the Word
"They" say when you are pregnant all sorts of stuff happens to you - pregnancy brain (forgetfulness), crazy dreams, being uncomfortable, getting up a gazillion times to pee in the middle of the night, etc. I've never really felt "they" knew much about my pregnancy because I haven't experienced any of that, which is why I don't talk much about my pregnancies. It sounds weird, but some women get upset when you tell them you haven't noticed much of a change, that you threw up only once, you don't feel as big as a house, you're sleeping fine and you get up once in the middle of the night to pee.
Last night may have been the one exception.
I had a dream that I gave birth to a bird.
Yes, a bird. It was a small bird, because we were at the museum looking at the bird information charts, and I found the bird that I was going to be giving birth to, via c-section, that was even listed on the informative poster. I was bummed, and I told the people I was with that the worst thing about it is that you don't even get to take the bird home. They check the bird at the hospital and then let it go.
This CAN happen - a human can give birth to a bird. Although rare, the chart in my dream gave statistics and information about 1 in XXXXXX women give birth to this bird. I guess I just got "lucky."
In my dream I delivered my bird, and the doctor held it in his blue glove covered hands, it appeared to be just like a full size bird, with wet feathers and a head. It just looked around and then the doctor took the bird over to a table where a few more people examined it and the doctor continued to close up my incision.
When it was over, I told my husband we need to start trying right away to have a baby, not a bird.

UPDATE: After posting this blog, my friend sent this information to me: To see birds in your dream symbolizes your goals, aspirations and hopes. To dream of chirping and/or flying birds represents joy, harmony, ecstasy, balance, and love. It denotes a sunny outlook in life.
To dream that you are giving birth to a non-human creature signifies your overwhelming (and unfounded) fear in the health of your baby. You are overly concerned that your baby may have birth defects. This type of dream is common in expectant mothers in their second trimester.
